Halal Papi- NYC Street Food: Authentic Halal Bowls & Wraps in Allen, TX

Halal PAPI just opened in Allen, and it’s already a game-changer for the community. Think of it as a Halal version of Chipotle — but honestly, even better. They offer five different proteins, all seasoned really well, and a great variety of fresh toppings, veggies, and sauces so you can build your bowl or wrap exactly how you like it. The food is incredibly flavorful and satisfying, and it’s the perfect one-stop shop for Halal options in the Allen area. They even have ice cream, stuffed churros, and other fun treats, which is a huge plus. The owner is super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they put real care into both the food and the experience. Highly recommend checking them out — Allen finally has a halal spot worth getting excited about! FYI. There’s a barstool seating for four people on the inside and benches outside for now.

I just found my new go-to food spot, and I’m honestly blown away. This is hands down the best NYC-style street food I’ve had outside of New York—ever. Everything was unbelievably delicious: fresh, flavorful ingredients, perfectly seasoned proteins, and bold, balanced flavors in every bite. I ordered the jerk chicken, gyro, and house chicken, and each one was incredible. Even though I went late at night, the food tasted freshly made. What really impressed me, though, was the team. They were genuinely invested in making sure I had a great experience. They walked me through the menu, explained the process, helped me choose exactly what I wanted, and made sure everything was perfect. Super friendly, super helpful, and truly committed to quality.

Halal Papi was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly way better than I expected. The portions were big, the seasoning was perfect, and everything tasted so good I didn’t want it to end. 5 stars isn’t enough. I’m already planning my next visit! The staff were very kind and welcoming i recommend!!

If I could give it ten stars I would! The food is incredible; tastes fresh, and authentic. As a NY transplant in DFW I tend to be a little weary when I see restaurants claiming to be “NY style”. Happy to say Halal Papi far exceeded my expectations. Customer service is excellent. The store is spotless (I’m nosey and look at everything). The prices are reasonable and the portions are large.

If I could give 10 Stars I would. These days, it is rare to find a place that is delicious, filling, and reasonably priced all at the same time. And on top of that, fresh ingredients that feel good to eat. The cherry on top would have to be the incredible customer service, the type of place that makes you feel welcome and wanting to come back. I will absolutely be back many times over. Recommendations: Jamaican jerk chicken and musakhan (sumac spiced chicken)

TLDR: Lamb gyro is so good and try the churros Really happy to have Halal Papi in Allen. From the moment we walked in to when we walked out, the experience was good. They really take care of you and make sure you have a good experience. Solid New York–style halal with big flavors: all meat selections and the rice are well-seasoned, the lamb gyro was my personal favorite, and everything tastes fresh. Even the fries were on point. They also have a great spicy sauce, so I definitely recommend asking for it if you like heat. It really brings the bowl together. Service was smooth and the wait wasn’t long at all. Overall, I’m impressed and will definitely be back. The churros were a nice finish, and I would recommend getting that too! One of the better NY-style halal spots in the Dallas area.

Food was absolutely delicious. Where do I even begin with this review? First off, customer service was great. It was our first time here and we had no idea what to order. They gave us samples of the proteins and sauces they offer and it is probably the best business strategy ever. If you want the customer to be happy and satisfied, they have to love what they ordered. I ended up loving the Jerk Chicken and the lamb gyro and built my own bowl with the two protein option. Now for those with Chipotle PTSD when it comes to double meat, don’t be afraid because Halal Papi did not skimp out on the portion sizes. They gave such a generous portion of both meats that I had a lot leftover after I finished all the rice. I should’ve asked for double rice! They had a wonderful smile on their faces, and were all so eager to help us build our own bowls. This is fast food, but don’t assume they’ll rush you out of there. They spent their time making sure we will truly enjoy our meals. And guess what? We did enjoy our meals. Only 2 weeks since they opened and my only regret is not going there sooner. Great food!

We came across this gem restaurant in Allen TX. We were surprised with how good the food was! Halal Papi offers variety of protein options bowls, tacos and burritos. The chicken is fresh tasty and perfect! Will be back soon
